Romans' transfer wallet to take a break

Chelsea have been banned from signing any new players until January 2011

The news comes after FIFA judged them to have "induced" a young French player to breach his contract in order to move to the club last year. It is reported that the player, named Kakuta, was encouraged by to break down his contract in 2008 in order to move to Chelsea.

This will be a huge problem for Chelsea as new boss Ancelotti will be with the same set of players as the previous coach apart from one or two players meaning there cannot be too many solutions form injuries as far as he is concerned. The youth players may get more chances if there were to be any injuries or bans.

Furthermore, a Fifa spokeseman says this:

'Chelsea are banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, for the two next entire and consecutive registration periods following the notification of the present decision'
